I can't find the orignal thread but to give anyone interested an updated: I got my doppler on Saturday (£43 Sonoline B model from Amazon).
Found a heart beat within a few minutes but after getting excited realised it was mine so changed the setting to the '2' one which gives you an averaged reading over 8 beats. 5 more minutes of trying and we picked up babys - finding mine first actually was quite a good experiment but I am glad the digital reading was there as well! Very different rates (mine 80ish, baby 130ish)
Tried again Sunday and found it without problem, again locating mine first then moving around.
Overall really impressed!
I'm 19 + 4 today and off for my 20 week scan in under and hour eeekk!!
