Has anyone experienced this? I have lost half a stone since becoming pregnant and I'm not sure why. I was over weight to begin with but I'm just a bit concerned that I shouldn't be losing weight? I'm 12+1. I haven't had much morning sickness probably actually been sick 3 times so its not that. Advice please?

Hi, same thing happened to me. I lost 2.5 kilos in my first tri. 19+5 now and have only just started to gradually gain back half a kilo over the past 4 weeks. Healthy with a good bump. Think loss of appetite, no alcohol and not wanting sweet things helped. Have been in the healthy BMI range both still now and pre-preg. So don't worry! Very normal...

Ah see that's why I'm concerned as if anything I have been eating more and am absolutely craving sugar. I also don't drink anyway due to meds so hadn't considered that. I guess because I put on so much weight with my other 2 (and was in recovery for anorexia during my first pg) its confusing that I should lose so weight at all, let alone so quickly (this has happened in the last 2 wks)

Anyone know how much weight I should be putting on? I know in the first few weeks its nothing but what about after that? I wouldn't be unhappy to lose weight really as I am a few stone too heavy anyway but I don't want to lose it if its bad for baby.

I wouldn't get too worried. I also lost half a stone in my first trimester and was already reasonably slim before getting pg. My MW said it's really common and I wasn't to worry. Every scan so far has shown that baby is happy & healthy inside me. I am now starting to put on weight slowly (14wks), you cant tell by looking but I weigh myself pretty regularly.
Hope that helps put your mind at rest a little. Xx
