It's starting to dawn on me that I'll be full term in exactly 3 weeks but I still have so much to do! And I don't even have it straight in my head exactly what I even need to do. Arghhhh feeling a bit overwhelmed!

So a list to myself, and hopefully people can prompt me on anything I've overlooked?

  • Sand down and varnish cot, get cot mattress
  • Finish decorating bathroom, bedroom and office so we don't have to after the baby's arrived!
  • Get hold of some different reusable nappies, work out which is best then get reusable nappies
  • Pack my hospital bag (which also means getting hold of some things)
  • Make sure nursery is perfect
  • Work out all the things we still yet need to buy or get hold of, and then buy/get hold of them
  • Badger MIL for the crib she's getting hold of for us
  • Look into child ISA account and get all prepared to set one up

I'm surely missing something important aren't I? /trying not to go off in blind panic Confused

Are you putting LO straight into cot? Or using Moses basket/crib first?

Have you thought about a sling?

You might want to wait a while to sort out the nappies. Different ones suit different babies. You could probably get a free nappy trial once baby is here.

If it helps, I'm almost 38 weeks and hospital bags only part packed, pram and cot bed still in boxes, crib still at my dads with no bedding. Nursery has been painted but needs border/decoration, curtains and carpet. Have not been playing the dog her baby socialisation cd or getting her used to baby stuff, have not sorted anyone to help look after my horse. Oh also have not checked car seat actually fits in our cars and how it goes in. Shiiiit I hope my baby isn't early!! I'm a bit superstitious about tempting fate so didn't want to get everything ready too soon. And I figure the nursery doesn't need to be ready just yet as baby will be in with us for the first few months anyway.

Hello:) Think you are panicking a bit?!

Don't worry, you sound like you have a roof over your head and running water, so fret not:) Our bathroom isn't decorated - still yet to be plastered and no floor covering, just dusty grotty old floor boards - has a bath, shower, loo and sink - what more could a moody pregnant woman want? As for nursery being perfect, why? Baby won't care! They say the baby should be in with you at first anyway, and the cot doesn't need sanding down yet. Our nursery still has double bed and guest furniture in, my poor baby still doesn't have drawers for his clothes:( I think maybe you are a bit more organised/bit of a perfectionist than I am. I packed the damn bag today as going in on tuesday. I'm quite lucky, my MIL will do ANYTHING for golden boy, so don't have to badger her. Good luck completing your list - it will all be fine:)
