I think I may be in need of a slap or similar! Probably massively overeacting but DR google has got the better of me on this one!

For the past 2 days I have felt quite wet 'down there' .

I'm 22 weeks +1 and the baby is moving normally, I don't feel unwell or have a temperature.

The discharge itself is usually white and creamy but it can be very watery on occasion, last time I went to the toilet it was thick and creamy again.

Wth can this be? I'm calling the MW first thing tomorrow morning as I need an appointment anyway!

TIA

Sounds very normal, from about 20 weeks I was constantly damp!! Speak to the MW, they can easily check its not your waters (put a maternity pad on so they can check it on there) but unlikely to be anything to worry about.

Don't worry, you're not a freak for worrying.

I've read that it is normal for discharge to increase during pregnancy, but like you in the past I've been freaked out by it. Am now 25 weeks in 2nd pregnancy.

With 1st pregnancy I don't recall this happening at all, so when it started this time I was worried. Rang MW who was really reassuring and got checked over.

Not sure what it's caused by, could be something to do with the hormones but am sure the MW can explain more tomorrow when you ring her.

All the best!

Sounds very normal babe.... If you get any itching, or soreness on the skin around your bits, then go to gp, as could be thrush. It's very very common to be wet down below during pregnancy.... just normal discharge from ph balance being different. Or, could be thrush, yeast infection, again mega common. Just keep use panti-liners.. I use to shower twice a day sometimes it got so bad ! (Yuk!) But, it stopped when baby got here. I have a history of thrush during pregnancy. But, you're sound just like normal discharge.
It's only if it's bloody or a dark colour - that you need to get in touch with someone.

Very normal IME. In both my previous and current pg, I have an increase in cervical/vaginal mucous. It plays havoc with your nerves in the early weeks, because you get a 'gush', rush to the loo thinking your bleeding, & its perfectly white/cream in colour!!

If this isn't TMI, I'm 12+6 & don't think my knickers have been clean/dry in weeks!!!

Thank you all for putting my mind at rest! It has freaked me out, I shall invest in some panty liners when I go shopping this week!

I'm having to change my underwear twice a day in the last few days! Its been madness!

I'm 20 weeks and have exactly same thing. I asked midwife about it and she said it's totally normal, and that it will change day to day from clear and watery to think and creamy, gross but normal :)

Yep applecrumple it varies through the whole white-cream-ivory-yellow spectrum. I think if its got a greenish tinge or is grey-white it might need a bit of treatment but I think those things usually have a smell and/or itchiness accompanying them.

Phew! Thanks!

I just came onto the site to see if there were any threads about this! I'm 20 weeks and for last two days I've been shocked by the amount of stuff I'm releasing! Feel relieved that I'm not the only one :)
