Help! BFP but have 12wk old DD2!

Holy moly, I KNOW how these things happen but I just took a pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy to have a coil fitted and I got a BFP....! I'm utterly shocked. I've got a 12wk old DD2 who is gorgeous, wonderful etc.. We were not expecting this at all. I've just finished a dose of metronidazole for a bout of bacterial vaginosis - my DP is now convinced my BFP is a false positive due to a cyst. We weren't planning another and my head has just exploded.... Also - I'm EBF on demand. How how how? What do I do????

Could the hormones be left over from your pregnancy? Not sure how long they take to leave your system. But if you have ovulated (bf is not a guarantee you wont) and you have had unprotected sex then there is a good chance you're pregnant.

OMG am such a dick - and obviously v v tired. I read the control panel and I'm NOT pg. I am so sorry! I now feel so stoopidly . My DP is rather lovingly disappointed. Oh, am sooooo tired...

That's a relief! Sorry to be all head girlish but ebf is not an effective contraceptive. Just in case anyone reads the pp and ends up with a bfp for real!
