My GP seems to be utterly horrified at my weight gain! Is it really bad that I've already gained 10kg at 27 weeks? I'm just, well, really really hungry (and being quite greedy as well, it's my last pregnancy so I'm kind of kicking up my heels! Grin

What is 10kilos ? I'm 29 weeks and gained about a stone and a half feeling ashamed and now trying to b good yesterday I had 2 x toast some pasta salad for lunch then rice and fish for dinner that's it trying to stick to 3 meals a day :(

I'm horrified that I've gained just over 4kg & I'm only 13wks tomorrow :(

I know that I was eating more at first due to the MS but this has eased off a little now & I'm eating more normally, & yet, I've still gained ~600g in about a wk!! I can't understand how its happening. Got my scan on Wed, kinda hoping its twins...Hmm

I did put on a lot, quite early on with my DD & figured it'd be worse with #2 but didn't expect it soquickly or so early!!! Blush

This sucks :( I'm big anyway I was nearly crying as it put me at now nearly 16 stone I'm trying to walk more but I get chronic back ache and braxton hicks if I go too far :(

I gained about 10kg by full term but I think that is because I went off quite a lot of things I normally eat and in the last trimester my stomach was squashed so that if I had more than about a soup bowls worth of food i couldn't eat anymore as I felt like I'd had a four course meal! Everyone puts on a different amount of weight and the majority ( unless you are really stuffing your face) will be baby and extra fluid, blood etc plus your body lays down some fat deposits so you can bf. you will know in yourself if you are overdoing the cake. I wouldn't worry too much about what the doctor says, just wait until the baby arrives and you get the go, mw, hv horrified view on everything else you are doing!

I really wouldn't worry about how much you've already gained. Just try to eat healthy now until the baby arrives and then you can think about losing the weight again. Some people gain a lot during pregnancy, some don't, every body is different so don't compare yourself to others gains.

I think I gained 16-18kg in the end with DD. I can't even explain how with that either, as I didn't have the MS I've had this one (eased by eating regularly, and it couldn't be fruit obviously!!!), I did eat a few biscuits but not that many, walked/exercised a bit, and she was still only 2.85kg/6lb 5oz!!! Plus my bump was measuring on the small side, so I didn't have loads of fluid... Confused

I think I just turn into a hippo during pregnancy Grin
