Implanon & Pregnancy

There is quite a large chance that I could have been pregnant when I had the Implanon Contraceptive Bar placed in my arm, however I didn't even think about it when it was inserted.
I've been having constant back aches, discharge and cramping legs. As well as my appeite has been off.
These are the same symptoms I got when I had Ovarian Cysts, could it be pregnancy?

(I'm off to the Doctors next week.)

Did they not ask you when they put it in? Or test?

You could be. When was the implant put in?

iheartdropdead · 13/05/2012 08:44

No, they didn't test, or ask.
And it didn't even cross my mind.

They put the implant in nearly a week and a half ago.

If I took a pregnancy test, would the implanon effect the result of the test?

the implanon won't affect a pg test - it's different hormones (progesterone/oestrogen in implant, HCG for pg test - only produced when you're pregnant).

Do a test, put your mind at rest.
