Hi

I had my 20 week scan on friday and hae been told I have placenta previa at the moment so getting rescanned at 34 weeks. 9 out of 10 chance it will have moved. Has anyone else been told the same or had it before?

Mine was confirmed grade 3 at 20wk, completely covering, but had moved 5mm away at 25wk scan.

Unfortunately I've just been admitted for the third time due to PP bleeding :(

I think most move out the way! Good luck :)

I was told the placenta was partially covering my cervix at my 20 wk scan so being rescanned at 36 weeks (am currently 21 wks). The sonographer said it would most likely move but if not I would need a c-section. Sorry that isn't particularly helpful but you're not alone! I am looking on the bright side - extra scan and the worst possible outcome is a c-section; could be far worse. Try not to stress, hard as that is!

Hi, I have just also been told same thing at my 20 wk scan. Consulant said it's grade 2 and 90% chance it will move. He didn't seem too concerned and so I'm not worrying. Just be alert to bleeding and take it easy in the sack!
