Over the bump trousers

for my first pg,i wore under the bump and had no problems. This time, I am wearing mostly hand me downs and a few pairs that I bought, but they are all over the bump and they constantly fall down. I hate them.

Is this normal? Or is my rather huge bump abnormal? I am 35 weeks.

Mine have always fallen down - early on because I was too small and now because I am too big - there never was a 'just right', they've always fallen down!

Mine seem to fall down but I think that's cos I saved them from my last pg and now they are stretched perhaps its the same for your hand me downs? Plus mine are also too big cos I was a dress size smaller at the begining of this pg perhaps they are just too big a size?

I think I am just frustrated. It was 36c here today and having to yank up a bump band all day was a PITA.

Or, as dh says, maybe they are supposed to cover the whole bump - not just part of it!

5 weeks to go!

Oh dear hun I feel your pain that is way to hot to be pg in! No mine only seems to go hw up and I am only 25 weeks tho I blame having a long body and short legs is a right pain! I just think its hard to find good fitting maternity trousers. I would say just wear a skirt but I'm not a skirt person and then there is the whole chaffing thighs thing esp in the heat.

im thinking im going to have to live in leggings... im going to try ONE pair of jeans and if they dont work itll be th leggings... wow ppl will be thinking i only have two outfits or something :-\

I'm the opposite! I cannot STAND under the bump trousers, they fall down constantly and dig in to my stomach!

Well fitting ones shouldn't fall down - mine don't although I used to have a pair that did, I gave them away as they were so annoying! I think with maternity clothes you just need to find something thats well fitting and then the style doesn't matter!

I hated the under the bump ones as they were always falling down, which my over the bump jeans didn't. Fortunately I didn't need my maternity clothes until the weather cooled down.

I love over the bump trousers :)

The under ones cut in me something rotten!

I am living in mamas and papas over the bump jogging bottoms.. I have turned into an extra from Jeremy Kyle. Nothing like the glamour of pregnancy. Wink

I'm another one who can't get on with under-bump trousers. They fall down, have to wear a belt, belt digs in, hate it.

Love love LOVE good quality over bump trousers. I've also got one pair which just slips right back down under the bump (crap bump band) but my other two are heaven. I've worn them all the way through and looking forward to wearing them AFTER baby too.

I'm with the last few posters, I tried under bump ones, they were fine for first few weeks then started really digging in (the bigger size looked huge on bum and legs) so I bought some over bump ones which I love. The ones from Topshop are great and not too high at all, the ones I have from Jojo Manam come right up and stop just under my boobs so not exactly glam but they stay up and there is tons of room for bump to grow (I'm sure it will balloon pretty soon!)
