Im 17weeks pregnant.. 2nights ago DH and I were having a snuggle in bed (nothing more!) and I experienced a sudden gush of fluids from down there, clear, no smell, no pain etc I was a bit Hmm but put it to the back of my mind. Yesterday I went to the loo and (TMI alert!) when I wiped I found a fair amount of clear goo. Again was a bit concerned but I'd didn't happen again so I just got on with stuff.
Today I've started with mild-moderate achey type pain.. Not enough to be in agony but enough for me to be aware of it I'd that makes sense.
I've called my midwife who has booked me into the EPU for a scan, but I have to wait till Monday. She said to obviously go to A&E if worse or any bleeding over weekend. Sad

Happy diagnosis please!!

I don't know, sorry. Hope everything is ok

StealthPolarBear · 11/05/2012 13:09

Personally is want to be checked sooner its only Friday, can you go to the antenatal unit?

celebmum · 11/05/2012 13:12

Thanks Stealth..

I know, Monday seems ages away. Trying to remain positive tho! Feel strangely calm about it all..

Ok being frank, I know you have spoken to your mw and I am not in the slightest bit qualified. But I would be fairly worried, and wouldn't wait. At least, its not fair on you.

YourFanjoIsNotAHandbag · 11/05/2012 13:17

I would want to find out if there's any way of getting checked out sooner tbh.

I have absolutely no clue if this is something to worry about or not, but Monday seems a long time to wait.

Can you speak to mw again?

PoppyS34wantssleep · 11/05/2012 13:48

Can you all the maternity ward directly and speak to them? I really would give them a call if you can, rather than wait until Monday. They still may not be able to scan you until Monday, but at least they can monitor you and check that baby is doing ok.
Good luck.

Hi, I had a similar thing with my 2nd Pregnancy - was sure I was leaking fluid, I even went to the DAU. After examination, the Dr told me everything looked normal and the discharge was quite normal. TMI but I felt really damp all the way through my pregnancy and often felt quite achey. He was ten days late and is now a healthy 4 year old who is currently glued to the TV!

Good luck xx

Riotgrrrl · 11/05/2012 17:20

Should have said -I was around 18 weeks when it started.

celebmum · 14/05/2012 10:39

No change over the weekend. Going for scan shortly x

Good luck with the scan. I had something similar (little gush and some clear mucus discharge) at 18 weeks but was away at a conference so unable to get medical advice. It didn't happen again and everything seems to be OK so I'm hanging on for my 20 week scan next week.

StealthPolarBear · 14/05/2012 11:25

hope all is wel;l
