I am just being silly but need to get it off my chest. I am 36+ with DC2, booked for ELCS. I have a horrible feeling I am going to go into labour in the next couple of days :( not ready! I feel like I felt last time...I am deliberately not packing my bag or anything as I don't want to pander to my daftness.

If you're after 36 weeks you should already have a bag packed! You're going to need it either way, think of it as early preparation rather than to be used soon if that helps.

The stuff is all together in a cupboard, it just isn't in a bag. I've got stuff that I absolutely have to do first, I am totally unable to concentrate or get comfortable in any position though :( Might give in and put a kylie on the bed, had spectacular breaking of waters last time!

I am hoping that by writing it down in a public place it will mean nothing happens!

A kylie on the bed? I'm not sure an Australian soap star will be much use to you now Wink

Keep calm and pack your bag just incase!

will come back in 3 weeks and complain that I am fed up waiting for cs fingers crossed...

I'm 38 weeks and have felt for days that things were happening, just seen the MW for a sweep and my damn cervix is apparently very tightly closed, so they could not sweep. God, it's frustrating, and I'm with you all the way! Good luck, hope you hang in there - grrr, the body teases us in cruel ways (I'm being induced next tues and sooo wanted to go naturally to avoid the sintosin) God, I'm in a bad mood!

OhChristFENTON · 10/05/2012 16:32

A Jason Donavan on the bed would be sure to induce labour I would think.

I did not just type that out loud

Blee!

I might have a look on youtube for "Don't It Make You Feel Good" by Stefan Dennis, that always cheers me up. Or that painting Helen did of Mrs Mangel...

Ha ha ha, I'm feeling pretty glum (and, at 39 weeks today, I still haven't packed a bag either, so I WIN!) and all this talk of Kylie and Jason has actualy made me laugh.

Seriously, though, what did you mean?

LenLovesSue · 10/05/2012 22:16

Kylie is/was a brand of washable incontinence products, certainly beloved of posh nursing homes in the 1990s :)

I mean a Boots disposable version of the Kylie sheet, those square things you stick under your bum just in case!
