19 days til due date. my others were early from varying from 1 day to over 3 weeks early. I had a show the other day. I know that doesn't mean birth is iminenet though. i feel like my period is going to start any minute. About 4 am i got a few regular pains but then they stopped. My stomach keeps going tight and got a dragging feeling in my stomach. They arent REALLY painful or regular but are taking my breath away a bit. I know I should ring the midwife but don't fancy the shame of her telling me its a false alarm!! Hope i don't go on like this for another 19+ days

Oooooh sounds suspicious!

Give her a call. Thats what they are there for.

Spidermama · 15/02/2006 14:28

Could be a slow build up. It couls start quickly though as you're on your third. Sounds to me like something's happening.

Good luck. x

I like to hold off calling the midwives until the last possible minute. You'll know when you need to call her.

Any nearby hills you can walk up?

You could stamp about cooking stuff for the freezer. You'll be glad of it.

Oooooh! How exciting. Hope the homebirth goes well.

totallyinlove · 15/02/2006 15:00

think my poor husband would fall on the floor with if I asked him for that! He's been so used to the bathroom! hahahaha

I was going to go for a walk but decided to clean upstairs instead. Going to make a start on the kitchen in a minute I think.

Still nothing regular or painful enough to warrant calling the midwife. Sigh. 6th March here we come I guess!

i had this, went for a big walk and that got labour going for me. i was regreting the walk afterwards whilst in labour but once i saw dd i was made up. she was 6 days early.

Spidermama · 15/02/2006 21:27

Sounds like you have a nesting instinct. Make the most because you'll get very little done for weeks after the new arrival.

after a terribly uncomfortable night

im still here. Doesnt seem to have amounted to anything. Going to go clean the bedrooms now. might as well! oh what fun!

i was like this for about 3 days... stayed at 3cm. Only went into established labour after I got some rest. I was so exhausted my body wouldn't go any further. I'm sure you're bored, frustrated and have had 3 million baths, but try and get some sleep if possible. When I did I woke up after 4 hours and was 5cm dilated so that's what my body needed.. ! Hope this helps and good luck!

munz · 16/02/2006 09:50

(((hugs))) TIL, try havign a waddle outside if u can manage it. I find shaking my tum up sometiems helps get comfortable as well. and the birthing ball has been a god send - just remeber to stand up off of it every so often - I forgot to and nearly couldn't get off of it! lol.
