Do you always have a show?

I'm just under 39 weeks pg and have to go in for a sweep and an induction next week if nothing has happened.

Do you always have a show a couple of days before labour starts? I've been on knicker watch since I thought I was going into labour a couple of nights ago, but nothing so far.

I've got a really sore lower back and am just wishing the baby would get a move on!

I either didn't have one, or didn't notice, with either of my 2.

I have three children but only noticed a show during the third labour.

I never noticed a show with any three of the dses.

Fingers crossed that things get moving soon, and I'll be looking out for good news - and maybe baby pics. [hopeful]

I had a teeny tiny bit of show about 12 hours before contractions started. If I hadn't have looked I wouldn't have noticed iyswim.

I didn't have one at all. (had 2 failed attempts at a sweep and 1 that they could do) I also politely declined their appointment for an induction too

I did,
My first I was induced an noticed the bloody show near enough straight away.
My second, spontaneous labour, I was having a show for 3 days prior to active labour. (Was in early/slow labour for 5 days, contractions 10 mins apart)

Thanks everyone. I thought labour might be starting last night after I posted this, but no! I am consoling myself with pancakes and Mumsnet.
