Hi right well im 7 weeks pregnant and last Monday had a little bleed enough to fill half a pad since then my discharge has changed from light brown to cream to yellow. Had no more blood since last week until today its brown only there when I wipe.i just want to ask if anyone else has had this problem? The midwife said my first bleed was nothing to worry about as I had no cramps or clots but I can't help but think there is something wrong some days I don't feel that much pregnant. :-(

Sorry to hear you have had bleeding. With my first pg I bled in the first trimester and lost the baby but I definitely had cramps so that is encouraging that you do not. However I bled on and off with my 2nd pg at 6wks, 10wks, 14wks but had no cramps and our little bean clung on and is now a 7yr old so be encouraged by what the midwife said. I wish you all the best Smile

If it's brown blood it's usually old, so probably nothing to worry about. They tend to get concerned if there is lots of bright red blood. If you're worried though maybe call your midwife or early pregnancy unit if you have one locally. Good luck!

Thanks I have an appointment tomorrow so hopefully will get some answers. I'm just worried cuz I miscarried in Jan at 4 1/2 weeks though I did have lots of cramps then and knew it was coming I just don't know what's going on this time. Just praying all is ok xx

Hello, I had this and unfortunately it ended up being a missed miscarriage (baby dies and doesn't come out for a while).

If you feel something is wrong, please call your midwife and see if you can get into the EPU for peace of mind rather than wait till the 12 week scan, it's a long way away if you are stressing and worried.

At this stage it could be something or it could be nothing, there's simply no way to tell I'm afraid Sad according to my MW about 50% of ladies bleed or spot at some point in pregnancy, and about half again of these will sadly lose the baby so the odds really are in your favour x

x posted, fingers crossed for you for tomorrow :)

Well I am currently 8 weeks pg and blending much more heavily than you but was scanned this morning and there's still s heartbeat so there is hope. In my case I'm still bleeding heavily and not out if the woods yet but your current level of discharge sounds ok to me. Get down to the EPU at your hospital & get a scan for reassurance. Wishing you all the best.

Sorry just seen you already have an appointment so very best of luck

Thanks I just need to know what's happening I hate not knowing. Hopefully I can get an early scan just hope everything is ok. Xx

No its horrible when I bled last Monday I prepared myself for miscarriage and it never happened I just need to know now. And also wanted to know if yellow discharge is normal in pregnancy?? X

Can't say ever had yellow ever, green yes (infection after having dye/xrayed tubes) sounds like an infection starting tbh. that alone could be causing any spotting

kirdy · 09/05/2012 17:26

Well from the moment I found out I was pregnant it was yellow! Suppose I will find out tomorrow xx
