Parovirus Test (sp?)

Have just spoken to nurse who couldn't give me an answer so I thought I would ask ye olde faithful mumnetters . Had said blood test last Monday and it has come back clear but I have to have another blood test next week to be on the safe side ? Does this mean that I am ammune or does it mean that I am not and that is why I have to have another test to make sure I haven't caught it ?

Your results should tell you a) if you are currently suffering from parvovirus and b) if you have any immunity, ie. if you have had it before. If you are 'clear' I guess that you don't currently have the disease, but perhaps you should speak to your GP or midwife who can phone the lab and ask about whether you have any antibodies to parvovirus, if you do you are immune and therefore won't have to worry if you come into contact with it again.

Thanks Amandine That is what I thought so am a bit confused at having another test ? Shall give the doctors a ring this afternoon !
