I have a moses basket given to me by a friend. I bought a new mattress which says it has a plain fabric cover made of waterproof and air permeable fabric called Rochtec. Do I need a fitted sheet too? The moses basket has a coverlet.

yes- the sheet will need washing, frequently if you have a sicky baby.

So I should buy it as a spare?

Google the size you want - John Lewis, Mothercare, loads of options and you'll need at least three.

Personally I found a pillow case did just as good a job as a fitted sheet and was much cheaper!

Yes and id get a few. We have 3 and in emergencies used a pillow case

You can get them in packs of 2 from asda and they're very soft!

I've got the asda ones. Good quality for a good price.

Everyone I've talked to says pillowcases are the best sheets for moses baskets - then you can use them afterwards too!
