I need a "crying at silly things" thread

Well, this is my second pregnancy and I was always in floods of tears the last time, sometimes just because my sandwich was so delicious or my dog looked especially adorable .

This time around I'm only at 9 weeks and haven't told a lot of people yet, but I feel SUPER pregnant this afternoon because I have just had a three-hanky-blubfest after watching this little video.

The people just looked so happy! The music came out of nowhere like magic!

Tell me all the daft things that have made you sob, make me feel less silly! :)

Um, I welled up earlier watching Dot Cotton on that "Who do you think you are?" programme on BBC1, where people research their family trees!!

Also have been feeling a bit weepy at those mega cheesy olympic-themed adverts for Proctor & Gamble.

Pregnant women are an advertiser's dream!

Kind of the opposite here, in tears when the slightest thing goes wrong. Was in floods when the back door stuck a bit last week. Felt very silly afterwards! Seemed valid at the time.

When pg I once cried (proper red nose and tears) in the middle of Boots because the thing I wanted was on the bottom shelf and my bump made it too difficult/ embarrassing to bend over to get it

ok, during week 8 I cried having been asked what I wanted to eat in a cafe - the choice was all too much.

I also cried because I needed the toilet again

I just welled up at the snooker final

Think it was them bringing Ronnie's son down to him when he won that did it.

I was under the impression that once you had the baby the crazy crying subsided... apparently that's a lie! :o

Heh, AllI I am definitely more emotionally, erm, labile than before my first pregnancy, but it must have subsided somewhat otherwise I wouldn't have noticed this alarming ramping-up of sobbing, would I?

Gosh, it can't just be doubling down and being EVEN MORE sobby, could it? Argh! Good job we're stopping at two kids then, can you imagine a third pregnancy if they got exponentially more weepy each time?! The world doesn't have enough hankies!

Quite late on in my pregnancy, I went to Sainsburys in the evening. I take my time shopping; an hour at least. On the way in I see a kid in a locked car who looks like he might be disabled, looking out the window.

I come back out after all that time and the kid is still there.

Well, most normal people would have been upset by that. I was gasping, uncontrollable sobbing all the way home... it was horrible.

Not really a silly thing... sorry!

Ah just when I thought I had gone an entire day with out crying as well cried even before music started in anticipation of seeing happy people and hearing magical music.....

I cried at work when my colleagued referred to me as her "favourite pregnant woman every" because I am so easy to confuse!!!

wow...i just got my laptop out as at 2.40 in the morning i cant sleep cuz im crying

with my first baby ...all pregnancy i was happy and could not stop smiling same after birth though i was tired..
but this time oh my god...
i was desperate to get pregnant after a miscarriage and now i am but just keep getting in to these ruts...feel sorry for myself i thought it was just me ..was gonna get referred for depression but it seems normal?

Oh god I'm 7+5 and apart from slightly tender boobs my only symptom has been that I'm emotionally an utter wreck.

It seems to have formed a pattern of:

9pm: become irrationally angry with DP
10pm: pick a big fight. DP becomes obviously quite pissed off and we fall out
11pm: fall to sleep upset and exhausted
7am: wake in paroxysms of shame and regret. Start with the crying
8am: more crying
9am: sobbing wakes DP
9-10am: wail about how I'm worried I can't cope, am not being supported (untrue) and everythings going to be a disaster
10.15am: Allow self to be comforted and accept cup of tea.

Its exhausting for us both to be honest.

EmmaCate my parents used to leave my disabled DB in the car for long(ish) stretches, although possibly not an hour. He hated crowds and loud noise and would be quite happy and safe in the car with music on.

They also decided it was a pretty effective burglar-deterrent, as no-one would want to nick a car with an obviously severely disabled child in it!

Read the paper this morning. Lady Gaga has just finished a successful 4 day run of shows in HK. I was doing everything I could not to start crying over how great that was for her.

My dept is moving floors and my boss asked me if I needed and extra box for my stuff on Friday and that was enough to start me off. In my defence I had been having quite a busy day.

My second pregnancy I was far more emotional! I cried at the little animated movies on Show me, Show me! Lost and Found by Oliver Jeffers - I was practically hyperventilating! Anything really happy or child related.

Oh God, knew I should not have clicked on your link - now I'm off to school with mascara running down my face!

Cry at anything atm, adverts, music, somone making me a cup of tea ...

I am 20 weeks and I cried last week when the server in Pret congratulated me on my pregnancy (she saw my Baby on Board badge). I also cried yesterday nearly the whole way through Salmon Fishing in Yemen - and even worse, we saw American Pie Reunion afterwards and I cried in some of that! I'm keeping Kleenex in business at the moment at any rate I guess!

Cupof I would be a wreck if I was up that late. I was in bed at 9.03pm last night and it was bliss! Get more sleep, it'll do you the world of good and your DP will thank you!
I went to bed last night with the words "Please will you walk the dog and take the bin out?" floating lovingly behind me.
Today DH took the bin down and fed the dog so I wouldn't have to smell anything manky (sets me off on a morning). it was so lovely of him! I neeearly teared up but stopped when I saw him laughing at me!

yes, lack of sleep is an issue blackcurrants! I'm usually on my own Tues - Thurs and have been known to climb into bed at 8:45pm

Last night I was awake from 2am worrying about what to tell my boss today (I've been signed off work for the entire pregnancy). I feel a lot weepier again!

When I couldn't decide what I wanted from a takeaway menu!!

I cried when the jeans I wanted to wear were in the wash. And when the physio kept me waiting for 20 minutes for my appointment. And when I'm tired. It gets a bit embarrassing!

I have cried at the game show Pointless on 3 separate occasions.

A couple of weeks ago when all the Titanic memorial programmes were on it was a nightmare- constant blubbing.
