With DS I had a little nausea, very swollen/tender abdomen and boobs from 4 weeks. Heard heartbeat at 11 ish weeks (soon as we got AngelSounds)

This one, had about 2 days of same symptoms somewhere around 5-6 weeks. Now, nothing. I'm 9+5 (pretty sure of dates). Is this a bad sign? Really worried.
Also, I know it's really early, but we have tried listening for heartbeat, but not found it.

Anyone reassure me that they're not going to find MMC at scan...(no history, but still really worried)

Try to not worry!

It is still very early days and not all women get symptoms. With my first pregnancy I had hardly any symptoms apart from being more clumsy than usual... DS was born fit and healthy and is now 2.3 years old :)

Even a midwife can't hear the heartbeat till around 16 weeks with a doppler machine, so if you tried to hear it yourself at 9 weeks there is no chance of you finding it at all.

Chances are you are still pregnant and all will go well, the stats are in your favour.

MMC aren't overly common, although they do happen, but if you have no bleeding or cramps then I'd assume all is well.

Have a cup of Brew and try to take your mind off it.

Thanks, just getting paranoid.. you know?

But DH was brilliant at finding DS heartbeat.. only took a few mins from 11 weeks. XD. Hence why trying already to listen.

Wow, didn't know it was possible to hear heartbeat from that early. Dr always told me that hearing a heartbeat that early was usually just the mother's heartbeat being heard.

Hope you're doing well and that your pregnancy goes well.

I barely noticed the early days of pregnancy with number 2, but doc said it was normal (and might indicate i was having a girl)! :)

at 29 weeks now and i can feel HIM all the time...

ItWasThePenguins · 07/05/2012 14:17

Needles, yeah and mw confirmed it was babys. The monitor we got said from 14-16 weeks, but we tried anyway and found it straight away. That's why we tried already, but never mind.

Thanks Herrena, i was just panicky cos its so different. Congrats!

I'm feeling a lot less symptoms second time around. at 7 and 8 weeks I had very little at alll, I am almost 11 weeks now and they seem to come a couple of days a week stronger than other days, usually thursday and friday where I do very long days at work and very little the rest of the week and usually non existant monday tuesday where I start to worry then they come again the end of the week... I am finding it very strange! I haven't had my scan yet either but I have to presume all is well until then.

good luck

I had every possible symptom when I was pregnant with DD, spent most of the first trimester flaked out on the sofa feeling constantly very sick, couldn't bear certain smells, went off lots of food and drinks, etc. I'm 11 weeks into my 2nd pregnancy and have only had some very occasional mild nausea - no sore boobs or stretching pains at all - needless to say, I too was a bit concerned. Happily, I had my dating scan at the hospital the other day and there is a baby alive and well in there Smile. But, I still don't feel pregnant at all Grin. Here's hoping that the rest of the pregnancy is easy! Good luck to you Smile.

Hi all, and Congrats!

I am 20 weeks with dc2 and still barely have a symptom tho i do feel movement now which is reassuring.

RegLlamaOfBrixton · 08/05/2012 12:12

With DS I had sore boobs, felt sick daily, crippling exhaustion between 6 and 12 weeks. Now 9 weeks PG with DC2 and absolutely no symptoms at all. Hoping that all is well in there and I have just got lucky this time, but it does concern me being so very different to last time. Congratulations on your pregnancy :)
