I'm nearly 13 weeks pg and have been suffering with bad sinus and pressure headaches pretty much from the start, but it's really getting me down now. I haven't taken anything and I know paracetamol (sp?) is supposed to be ok, but I'd like to avoid it if poss. Has anyone got any headache cures to suggest? I might love you forever if you can help

4 head's meant to be good but it only works on very mild headaches for me, my friend uses it all the time and says it's great. whilst pg with dd i had bad headaches constantly and never touched paracetamol and the mw told me it was just normal. it's hard to not take paracetamol for them now as i have dd and to be honest it is helping me cope. i also had to take cocodamol (which is codein and paracetamol) which is safe to take in pregnancy as i've been very ill and i don't regret having that as well. i sometimes put a cold flannel on my head for 10 minutes and it sorts the headaches out. also make sure you're drinking enough water, although i was in my pregnancy with dd i was told this can be a cause of headaches.

I had similar headaches. My GP just prescribed loads of paracetomal - she said to take them regularly rather than when I needed them.

Thanks all, I think I might try the migrastick, it sounds interesting. I'll also try to take in more water cause that always helps. Hopefully they'll fade away before I need to bring in the drugs, if not I'll see my gp first.

co-codamol was a godsend for my sinus headaches, I couldn't have coped on paracetamol alone and it is safe to take in pregnancy, you can get it over the counter if you don't want to go to your GP. Also, try steam inhalation and lots of cold flannels. Hope something helps you soon.

I find a sugary coffee works for me. I only ever drink caffined coffee if I have a headache!
