I had exactly this, a small amount of spotting at 8 weeks. I rested (don't know if this was necessary but it made me feel like I was doing something), it soon stopped and I am now 30 weeks pregnant. I do hope that this is the case for you. I'll keep my fingers crossed x

I had this teice and all is well now at 37 weeks today. Doctor said it was to do with it being near the time your body expecting to have a period so womb began contracting a little and old blood was passed in tiny quantities. As long as it isn't bright red or you have bad tummy cramps I was reassured all was fine.

I would say because it is brown it is quite likely it's (older) implantation bleeding, plenty of women experience light spotting in early pregnancy.
However if you are still worried about it i would ring your early pregnancy unit and see what they recommend x

I had some brown spotting from about 6 weeks for about 10 days. Dr sent me to EPU and everything was fine. Let your dr know tomo. It does seem to be very common.

Thanks ladies. Feel a little better now. sharon u could be right as I was due my 2nd period 2 days ago so it could've been that.
I'm planning on resting today - been doing too much I think lately and will keep an eye.
Got my booking in appointment Wednesday so will mention it then.

Thanks for the reassurance. Smile

I had this too mytime and I was so worried as I'd had previous m/c at this stage. Turned out I had a grazed cervix which the midwife described as like having a skint knee. Stopped after couple of weeks x

I've had this as well, with both pregnancies. I'd say brown is nothing to panic about.
