Alcohol in early pregnancy

I am 9 weeks pregnant. Is it safe to have a couple of drinks this evening. Such as shandy.

I think 2 units is the recommended amount.
But at the end of the day it is up to you! Guidelines.

I think I read somewhere that between 5 and 12 weeks were the most vulnerable time so I wouldn't, - no.

I read this after discovering I was pregnant in the January knowing that I was thoroughly merry on Christmas Eve. - it tainted my enjoyment of the pregnancy worrying about what damage I might have done.
