Bruised/Sore area on Stomach

Anyone else experienced a sore/bruised spot on stomach? Im 28 weeks and have noticed this the last few days and is getting worse. I keep expecting to see a bruise on my stomach or a cut but there is nothing there which makes me think its internal. It feels very uncomfortable, anyone any ideas?

I used to get this a lot. I always assumed it was a knee or a foot pressing against the spot and not moving for a while. Really sore however!!

I have a bruise all the way around my tummy button. It seems to be the area that baby is using for three point turns Grin

I had this on and off my last pregnancy. I was admitted to the hospital once at 28 weeks by a very paranoid young doctor but they never worked out what it was, and I got let out when it wore off a bit. I'd check with GP/midwife but my baby is fine now (11wks) and I can't feel anything now she's out. Meant to ask about it at my 6 week postnatal check but forgot... One midwife suggested it could have been where my placenta was attached, as it was high anterior. Perhaps yours is too?

I've got this on my side and when i mentioned it to mw she said its probably where the head is as these can rub and make you sure to touch, made sense x

I remember getting this, and I had a particularly reset area near my belly button. I just put it down to the abdominal rectus muscle stretching and possibly separating. As long as the pain is in the muscle wall area and not more internally in the pelvis/abdomen I can't imagine it is any cause for concern - just stretching! Speak to mw or labour suite though if you are very concerned or get any other symptoms.

I would have a chat with your MW to be safe but it does sound like it's a sore spot from where LO is applyin pressure with a part of it's body I.E elbow, head, foot.

I had this loads as baby got bigger! I yes today to DH "are your sure theres no bruise?" as it felt just like the pain and soreness you have once you banged somewhere really hard. That sounds rude but hopefully you know what I mean Grin)

I have had this for the past couple of weeks. 36 weeks now and it's intermittent. V painful for hours at a time just to the right above belly button. I'm not sure what it is. Sore though!!

Well glad I'm not the only one! I don't feel it's a cause for concern just uncomfy! Ah well will add to the other list of aches and pains! Wink thanks everyone x
