Yep, just as good as most brands. not as sensitive as First Response, so don't try using them five days early, but from when your period is due (or a couple of days earlier perhaps) they are just as good as the other tests, but without the fancy packaging.

I love asda and tesco branded tests, I couldn't get positives with clearblue or first response but an instant positive with an asda one, although I can't remember them being a pound?but it was asda test packs of 2. This was with both my pregnancies, and both were definatly correct! 6 day old baby being fed as we speak and DS1 off to nursery. Good luck!

The two for a pound ones are dipstick tests not pee on a stick tests. In my asda you have to ask for them at the pharmacy counter. They are pretty much identical to the ones you can get in Poundland.

I bought the tests in Poundland & similar - they are just 2 or 3 strips without the plastic casing & they worked fine. They're not ultra-sensitive but think they're all made to a certain standard, so can't imagine there's an issue with Asda ones either. Think its like most things, you're usually buying into a brand/image with the named tests.

they are exactly the same as the ones with the plastic casing. If you open up the plastic casing, it's the same strip inside.

I buy 30 for £2.50 from eBay. They're perfectly fine & I get a quicker response from them than the one's the GP surgeries have.

They are called Clear Response or something and are not in the section with the other tests but the special 'here are lots of random things you can buy for a pound' section. They look like POAS ones from the packet. I guess give them a try!

Ohh I know which ones you mean...surely their the same just without the plastic? Can't see them being any less accurate as long as they are done correctly
