Feeling movements this early or am I going crazy?!

I'm nearly 12 weeks pregnant according to midwife but it was just a guess on my behalf as I have no idea when my LMP was, so could be anything up to 16 weeks. (been trying since jan)
I keep thinking I can feel movements, but that's crazy right?? It's only occasionally, but I have a DD already so know what it feels like.
And if it isn't movements, any idea what it could be?

wind Grin

You may well be feeling some flutters, especially as it's your second.

I am convinced I felt movements from 13 weeks in my first pregnancy and 11 weeks in this one. HTH - it just could be your wriggly little baby inside!! :)

I felt ds2 from around 12 weeks, ds1 was 20 weeks.

I felt DC3 from around 12 weeks. It is quite normal for subsequent pregnancies to be "felt" earlier.
Congratulations!

My tummy started twitching last week and I'm only 5 weeks! It was one of those twitchy muscle things though, like you get in your eye sometimes - it was so funny though, because it looked and felt exactly like a baby kicking - managed to completely freak DH out with it :D

I felt DD1 at 14 weeks

FushiasFairy · 04/05/2012 08:43

Ooh good to know i'm not the only one, now i'm even more certain it is the baby! Thank you all :o

I can't wait to feel baby moving already :-) I'm 10 weeks now so hoping it will be soon. Didn't feel DC1 until about 22 weeks, but felt DC2 about 11 weeks Smile

susiegrapevine · 04/05/2012 09:34

Yeah started feeling this one at around 12 weeks. Am 24 weeks now and he is a wriggler. Never seems to stop! Did not feel ds till around 17 weeks. I think once you know what it feels like and where your uterus is at 12 weeks its perfectly possible.

Chunkychicken · 04/05/2012 09:36

I think I felt DD initially at 14wks, then def at 15wks.

I'm now 11+wks with DC#2. I think I felt very gentle flutterings a couple of wks ago & now feel the odd 'thud' or pop type feeling in exactly the same spot, but only when I'm sat down. I'd put it down to wind but there's no evidence of that afterwards iyswim Blush although the fluttering feeling could be a change/increase in blood flow to the area I guess.

I suppose that, in the same way you're generally thought to get bigger, quicker with your 2nd, your body must be attuned to feeling movement earlier (perhaps the softer muscles resist less??).

I'm 12 weeks with dc2 and if I sit v still I think I can feel it every now and then, def not every day yet though.

Didn't feel ds til about 16 weeks and that was laying down flat.

FushiasFairy · 04/05/2012 13:50

Chunkychicken I know where you're coming from, i'm already showing and didn't show until about 5months with DD.

Pretty sure I felt it again about half an hour ago!

I think our instincts tell us if it's the baby or not too :)
