Acupressure during pregnancy?

I bought a Groupon voucher yesterday to buy an acupressure pillow and mat to lie on. It's supposed to help with energy levels and relieving pain and tension. Do you think it will be ok during pregnancy?

I've ordered it and am waiting on it arriving so just wanted to know if people thought it would be safe.

Thanks!

(I'm 4 weeks today, found out 3 days ago)

It all depends on which points it does I think the biggest worry is if your more heavily pregnant as pressure points can b used to induce labour, and they work I use them when I was in labour and seemed to slow down when I stopped for epidural ect. I'd look up which pressure points these hit they all have a unique names and you should be able to see what helps what but they are pretty good and will say if it's not suitable for pregnant woman

I would have thought the main problem would be lying on your back once you get to around 20 weeks.

I did a quick google and it mostly came back with labour stuff... Will look in to if more. I hadn't really thought about it being a problem when I ordered it and it only occurred to me afterwards.

Thanks for your thoughts! Can you tell I'm a first-timer??!!Smile
