Any other rhesus negative 2nd time mums out there?

I'm expecting my second and am rhesus negative. I had the anti-d jabs during my first pregnancy (and one after delivery) but I seem to remember this being more of an issue for the second baby. I'm only 5 weeks pregnant but do I need to do anything now? Eg blood test for antibodies or anything? Thanks

I'm on my 3rd Smile

Nothing different to do except have anti d at I think 28 weeks Smile

I'm rh- and on my second pg. procedures are exactly the same second time round (standard confirmation of rh status via booking bloods, jab at 28 weeks and post-birth if necessary) if everything is ok.

I haven't had any issues, but I believe if you have any bleeding etc. early on, you need an anti-d jab then.

what When said

except I've been told you don't need a jab for any bleeding before 12 weeks as there isn't enough foetal blood till then. but keep an eye out for any bleeding after that, or any bashes to the bump which could cause internal bleeding.

You'll have an anti d injection at 28 weeks (have mine this week). Little different for me as my first lo was also rh negative so I didn't have a further injection after she was born. I was told with my first that any bleeding before twelve weeks isn't a worry but with this one was told to call if I had any at any time or even had a knock to stomach without bleeding- I'm sure it would be fine but def worth a phone call to midwife if anything did happen just in case

I'm Rh negative & have only been told to have an anti-D at 28 weeks. However, I had an amnio at 16 weeks & was given an anti-D injection then too.
