20 weeks pregnant with triplets and really struggling to sleep tonight. Initially thought baby movements/braxton hicks but now feel crampy in my stomach and intestines and burping loads. Abdomen is not hard and babies moving well. Is this indigestion? Had chick Kiev for dinner and over cooked it so don't think food poisoning but panicking a bit. No one else here to ask as DH working away and don't know whether to call hospital or not.

Hi there. I didn't want to leave your post unanswered.

Call the hospital. It's probably fine, but better safe than sorry!

Do you have any children who would need looking after if you do pop into hospital for a check up?

baileyslover · 03/05/2012 02:27

Yep DS1 is fast asleep and no family close by I can callSad feeling more comfortable now sitting up and mumsnetting, though still burpy. Guess too much grease in the Kiev for my guts to cope with.

If you've got triplets inside then I imagine your stomach is already fighting for space. Do you have any rennies or gaviscon that you could try? Even a glass of milk would help me whan I had bad indigestion during pregnancy.

labour ward will not mind if you call, always staff on at night to offer reassurance.

googietheegg · 03/05/2012 03:25

Sounds perfectly normal to me as there's three little people trying to get some space. If you don't have gaviscon or rennies at home, a glass of milk helps or chew some almonds into a fine paste before you swallow.

May as well phone the labour ward anyway though to put your mind at rest.

Congratulations on your triplets!

Sorry for the radio silence, DS1 woke up and needed a cuddle. Had a glass of milk and a rennies. Feel much more comfortable and going to try to get some sleep. Thank you everyone for your replies, night night

Sleep well!

How are you feeling today? Wow triplets, so exciting!!

baileyslover · 03/05/2012 12:25

Indigestion better but sooo tired as awake for a couple of hours in the night. Counting down to DS1's nap so I can have a sleep as well. This growing babies lark is hard work isn't it Grin

Hope you're feeling a bit better today, and can get a nap. I'm having enough trouble sleeping with just one brewing, let along three - hats off to you...! :)
