Apologies in advance, i'm 35 weeks pregnant and have been having period pains and been feeling very uncomfortable for a few days, after my bath tonight i decided to check the position/feel of my cervix (i have checked this before when ttc) it was really odd and not at all how it felt when ttc, but very soft and almost not like a cervix at all, it didn't seem open.
Do you think this is a good sign? early labour maybe or would a cervix generally feel like this in pregnancy?

The period pain and feeling uncomfy reminds me of when I started very early pre-labour with DS. It started around 2 days before he was born at 39 weeks.

However, by that stage I'd lost my 'mucus plug' as a few lumps of jelly-like discharge about a week before.

I've never had the inclination to reach up and feel my cervix Blush so I'm not sure what it should feel like at any stage, so I can't help you with that.

Keep an eye on your body, make sure your hospital bag is packed and try to rest as much as you can - you might need the energy soon Wink
