I had my scan today, i'm currently 19+4. all looked good with very active baby, but there is a next to the sac. it was there at 10 weeks, but not noted at 12 week scan. the sonographer didn't seem concerned, but i can't help being worried. has anyone else has one in their 2nd or 3rd trimester? apologies for lack of capital letters, using new phone and struggling with it!

Perhaps ask to see a consultant to talk about risks associated with sub-chorionic Haematoma. They should (as far as I know-I had one at 8-12wks and am seeing a consultant after 20wk scan to discuss results) offer some extra growth scans starting at 28wks b/c of the risk of the placenta not being as efficient). Does depend on size and location of heamatoma though. If you ask to see a consultant yr midwife should be able to arrange. Try not to worry though, risks are mostly theoretical, most preg with SCH end up just fine!

Mine was still there at my 20 week scan. Much smaller than it was earlier though. The sonographer didn't seem at all concerned.

Thank you for your replies. I think I will speak to the midwife about it at my next appointment. It didn't look particulary big on the scan, the sonographer didn't tell me exactly how big it is, or the exact location compared to the placenta. I hope it is just one of those things. I guess if they weren't worried, I shouldn't be either.
