Anyone else really thirsty?

I am 18 weeks pregnant and so thirsty today, have got through pints and pints of squash. Is this normal? I know it can be a sign of gd but I had my urine tested 2 weeks ago so I'm assuming its not that?!

Anyone have any experience of this?

thanks!

I'm 33 weeks and have been like that throughout, everything's been fine at this end so I wouldn't worry. Your bodies working overtime at the moment, just remember to mention it to your midwife

Yeah, I'm 19 weeks and I feel fine most of the day then I suddenly get really thirsty and drink tons. Like you, had urine tested at 16 weeks and nothing showed up so I'm guessing its just another pregnancy thing!

Me too, trying all sorts of drinks to quench my thirst. Was initially worried but MW says v normal. Make sure you do drink when thirsty though as I got a couple of terrible migraines from dehydration and energy levels really dip so keep gulping it down!! Plus helps with the dreaded piles threat as well :) lovely

I am drinking loads and having to chew gum to avoid dry mouth

Hermionewastherealhero · 30/04/2012 19:48

Just to add, I am 19 weeks 4 days

I've had this throughout and been tested for gd which was clear. For me it's quite an unquenchable thirst and I can drink 500ml squash in 2 gulps (very ladylike!)

I'm 38 weeks and have been really thirsty the whole time, but I find squash really doesn't help and makes me thirstier so I try and stick to water.

I'm 17 weeks and I've been like this from about 6 weeks - I estimate I get through about 3 litres a day Shock and sometimes still get a mild headache and dry lips Shock

birdofthenorth · 01/05/2012 15:56

Yes, only 7 weeks but been desperately thirsty since day one, which is odd as in previous pgs I've been quite averse to liquids!

I have had this with both pregnancies. I can get through 4 litres a day easily. No health issues.
