Sorry if I'm being stupid but what kind of ginger helps? I read something about it dipped in tea? is that right? I brought ginger biscuits but cant eat them as they are sooo dry and vile, can i get ginger tablets? and should i get vit b6 on its own as there is already some in my multi vit... I dont undersand why the nausea is worse sometimes than others it just sneaks up on me even though i try to keep eating little and often.....any tips gratefuly appreciated!

I think it's a bit of an urban myth, I didn't find it helped at all! I did find snackajacks were great at stopping me feel sick, though, and they were low-cal too :)

Only thing for me was to eat immediately as you feel queasy. I mean within a minute or so. For me sadly it was sugary things in particular that did the trick. I think my nausea was related to drop in blood sugar. I know it's different for others though.

Morning sickness can be made worse by lack of sleep/exhaustion.

that could be it then as have non sleeping 14 month old aswel and never suffered like this in previous pregnacies...

Beige food and time. It WILL pass! In the meantime, it's shit but there IS an end in sight.

Try and eat something frequently even if you can't face it. It made me feel slightly less crap.

Sending some non-pukey vibes your way!

Ginger has been proven to work for nausea and vomiting, doesn't help everyone though. Buy a fresh root of it, cut half an inch and peel and put in boiling water and leave. Sip.

I've bought some sea bands and ice lollies too, they seem to help.

Eating really does help, even when you don't want to. Sweeter things were better for me than savoury too. I went off tea completely, so I drank lemonade or fruit juice. It's whatever works for you really. Things that make it worse include lack of sleep and dehydration, so watch out for that.

eating little and often (like every 2 hours) helped me, don't let yourself get hungry and eat what you feel like, don;t feel guilty if that is carbs for examplel your body needs instant energy and will crave what it needs.

Polos also helped me a lot.

Thanks all i will be trying them all too:) the dehydration and tieredness making it worse sounds about right too as stil breast feeding little one and think we may both have touch of tummy bug so that might be adding to my general unwellness although I've been feeling really rough for a while now. I know i shouldn't think about how long it will last but pretty sure it was clearing by 12 weeks last time ....if can just hang on. Christ there are people far worse off on here i honestly dont know how they cope! I will get through this tho off to ebay to buy some sea bands!!
