Hi all I've previously had 2 m/c in the last yr and have 4 yr old DD with DH.

Found out i'm pg 2 weeks ago v. happy but terrified.
Went for an early scan yesterday due to pains. They reckon i'm 4-6 wks, they can see a sac which is a good size and looks normal. No baby yet but they assure me thats ok for the stage i'm at. There is a small area of bleeding around the sac which the mw says will come out and is either another m/c or its just the wall lining and will cause no harm. She did say it's more promising than the last two times and she's not worried about the pg atm. Rescan in two weeks.

They also told me i've got a retroverted uterus never knew before then. They said it has no affect on pregnancy????

I'm so scared, depressed and worried. I couldn't face work today and called in. I just want my baby to be ok this time.

Anyone been or going through a similar time? Or got any advice to keep me sane? Don't think i can take much more?

No advice I'm afraid but hang in there, take it easy the next few weeks, sure it will be fine

Tiny bit of reassurance from me. I also have a retroverted uterus and when I had DD I had awful crampy pains like period pains. Also had an early scan because I was worried of msc. Apparently having a retroverted uterus can be more painful in the early weeks as it needs to tilt back forward. Might be where you pains come from? Good luck and lots of positive vibes for a lovely pregnancy

Hi there, I also have a retroverted uterus, and have had two successful pregnancies, really didn't make any difference at all. My mum also has a retroverted uterus - no issues either :)

I also have a retroverted uterus, one in three people do.
It can make early scans less accurate and you can measure behind so don;t worry if you do. It can also make it harder to see a heartbeat at 6ish weeks.

Having said that I had no problems with this (and was very worried about it) I am 13 weeks and mine is still tilted but had no problems at my scan either and apparently it corrects itself at about 14 weeks.

Keeping everything crossed for you, I know how stressful it is when you have had previous MCs.

hello, another retroverted uterus here! I've been told it's like being left or right handed, most people have forward facing uteri (hope that's a word!) but some of us have a uterus that tilts backwards, it doesn't really make much difference.

Sorry for your losses, and good luck with your pregnancy. There is a lovely thread over on the conception board for those who are ttc or pregnant after a loss. I've had 2 mc in the last year too and it's nice to talk to other people who understand.

I had the same - retroverted uterus, mc, pregnant again soon after, bleeding, lots of bleeding throughout first trimester. DD is now 6 months old, so there is hope! I hope you get your happy ending too.
