Niggling pain - lower right abdomen

Hi
I'm 7 weeks pregnant with my first and today I've noticed a niggling feeling in my right lower abdomen area. It feels a little more substantial tonight ( but not sure if it's due to me noticing it and thinking about it)
As this is all new to me I have no idea if this is normal/ my body stretching etc of if I should be a little concerned?! advice / reassurance from those who have done this before would be appreciated x

It is probably stretching. I've had a lot of this and apparently it's more common to feel it on the right hand side because of the way the uterus naturally tilts.
I also noticed twinges in my ovaries around the same time as you - this could be from the hormones being released

You will feel lots of stretches and niggles from around 7 weeks onwards because your uterus is actively stretching even though the baby is still teeny. But if the pain is sharp and makes you draw in your breath and stop in your tracks you need to contact your GP or your Early Pregnancy Unit at your local hospital straight away.
