Anyone had a False negative pregnancy test result?

Period is 4 days late which doesn't sound a lot but is very unusual for my usually clockwork cycle. I have tested with an Early Response on Wednesday and a Clear Blue on Friday but they both came up a not pregnant result.

We use the withdrawal method which has worked really well for us over the past 10 years and the one time we wanted to fall pregnant we did. We did have a "whoops" moment the other week when I had the feeling he didn't pull out properly in time but we weren't totally sure.

Symptoms wise I am eating loads, feeling a little more tired in the afternoons and I seem to be a bit clumsy but that's about it. My head is done in thinking about it all the time, am I aren't I. I will do another test in a few days.

Just wondering if anyone else has had an early negative result but then found out they really were pregnant?

CD42, awake at stupid O'clock feeling rough. Have had an overnight shift at work but 50 Internet cheapies waiting for me when I eventually get home about 10 tonight

Me and my partner have been trying for two years for a baby- it can mentally be overwhelming to constantly wait for ur next period to start- or to not start -so that a pregnancy test can be done- even worse when ur periods r irregular!!

Anyway ! Just recently my period was late by a week- kept testing by every week that passed by (trying not to test every other day????... However no positive test and still no period!

Now- Being third week overdue, I then did the test and the test looked negative at first glance. But taking a second look very carefully in a bright room I saw the faintest line - was this what my eyes just wanted me to see or was this a positive - showed hubby and he could see it too,.. (I used £1 Prego tests as well first response)
4th week overdue- so decided to use a digital clear blue test. Theoretically I should be 8weeks pregnant by now (as the date of the last period is taken into account to calculate pregnancy stage)- however clear blue showed I'm only 2-3 weeks ..

But after a lot of reading I found out that the digi test gives u the date after conception. But then that makes me think I'm 4 weeks overdue! Ovulation could not have happend a week after my cycle was over.

All ladies trying to get pregnant- this is just something I want to share as testing for pregnancy can fall in a grey area and you have to always stay positive and hold ur nerves not to over test. Think of the positives of not being pregnant if it turns out negative - stuff you can do before falling pregnant and being thrown into a highly responsible role of looking after a baby- think of the positives if it does turn out positive! A new chapter in life to come ahead! There is a right time for everything . I'm saying this because i have been trying for very long

Has anyone had a few negative pregnancy tests at 5 weeks pregnant ? We’ve been trying for a few months and this would be my first child. I’m having all the correct symptoms including eating waaaay too much food. I was wondering how long any of you have had to wait before getting a pos?
