Just had an armful of blood drawn as I have lost over 1/2 stone in weight and the Dr is not sure what is wrong. Is this usual as with DS pg I was steadily putting on weight. I am eating properly but do not know whats wrong. Any suggestions???

Try not to worry too much unless you're actually underweight. I started my pg within the healthy BMI range and have slowly but steadily steadily lost 2.5 kilos over 17 weeks.

You didn't say how far along you are? But I've read lots of posts where women have not started to put weight on until after 20 weeks.

Can you think of a reason for your weight loss? In my case alcohol has created a calorie deficiet and I'm more active (walking an hour every day) and I've gone off chocolate and sweet things. Apart from that it's the same normal healthy diet with the odd pizza for good measure! Smile

Weight gain and loss is all about how much energy you consume and how much you expend so perhaps your answer lies what is different between pre-pg and pg?
