Cold remedies?

I'm 16 weeks and have a rotten cold! Been taking paracetamol, but I'm so stuffed up and, being the hypochondriac that I am, worried about it turning into sinusitis. Can I do steam inhalation? Are there any essential oils I can use? Thanks!

I would have thought steam inhalation would be fine. Can't advise on oils as I know there are a few that are not recommended during pregnancy but can't remember which ones they are Blush sorry! So I will just give you my all-purpose cold remedy which is: eat the hottest curry you can stand, take the hottest bath you can stand (you may wish to adjust for pregnancy purposes), then get in bed and stay there.

I had a rotten cold at 15 weeks - had a steam inhalation with dissolving menthol crystals and that really helped. Hope you feel better soon.
