hahaha! Please say that to the next person who makes a stupid comment. It is furious making! I have a friend who is a few weeks behind me and she keeps going on and on about how "small" she is - I don't actually think she is and I don't know how much longer I can avoid telling her YOU ARE SMALLER THAN ME BECAUSE YOUR BABY IS SIX WEEKS YOUNGER, MINE IS NEARLY THE SIZE IT'S GOING TO BE WHEN IT'S BORN FFS! I am measuring 2cm smaller than my weeks so she's full of it anyway!

It does feel better to rant a bit doesn't it?!

MandaHugNKiss · 27/04/2012 08:37

Massive? I thought you had a very neat bump... almost small Grin

Have you not had that too? It's more, annoying amusing when it happens in the space of about an hour.

But. People just like to hear the sound of their own voice talk, don't they? And when there's something as conspicuous as a bump for a conversation starter/subject it seems many just can't resist commenting! You know you're fine for dates so try to let it wash over you.

BikeRunSki · 27/04/2012 08:44

Then there's the "havn't you had it yet ...?" comments that start when you've still got about 8 weeks to go.Angry That used to really wind me up, especially since both my babies were early!

HateBeingCantDoUpMyJeans · 27/04/2012 08:45

Yeah but you are huge

HateBeingCantDoUpMyJeans · 27/04/2012 08:48

This will make up for my other post........I went into tge bank last week and got chatting to a banker (you'll see why I use that term in a min), and I happen to mention I'm currently in maternity leave and yes he says so when's tge baby due. No I am not only am I a size 14, which is tge smallest I have been for about 6 years, I had ds 8 months ago Angry

MustControlFistOfDeath · 27/04/2012 08:50

Crikey are you having twins?

AdiVic · 27/04/2012 08:54

It's more annoying when folk say "Not long to go now" 3 months after you've had it, and your belly still pudgy, gert big boobs padded to the hilt with pads, and you know you look like sh*t. I never say anything to P women, best not to comment on size.

Just seen HateBeingCantDoUpMyJeans post which says pretty much the same thing - baby brain here:(

AlanMoore · 27/04/2012 09:01

Someone I work with hadn't even noticed I was pregnant when I told him I was off on maternity leave! I didn't know quite how to take that, I am quite obviously pregnant!

Spiritedwolf · 27/04/2012 09:02

Remind me to carry my new baby around everywhere after the birth so that its blooming obvious that I've had the baby even though I'm still huge Hmm

I'm 27 weeks and I haven't had many comments perhaps because I avoid human contact about the size of my bump, because most people are just surprised I have one at all as I haven't seen them in ages.

MandaHugNKiss · 27/04/2012 09:03

The 'him' part is the giveaway, alanmoore - most men are usually quite unobservant...

Glad I'm not the only one. It doesn't really bother too much, it was just a bit worrying as I hadn't been measured before yesterday do for all I knew I really WAS enormous! Grin

Right, come back here you buggers, don't run off...

hatebeing Shock you've seen the size of my backside?? Are you stalking me??

MissTapestry · 27/04/2012 09:08

Oh, and my absolute favourite is 'I know someone who was due last week, and her bump is lovely and small, especially compared to yours'. I mean, really?? Don't get me wrong, I love to talk about myself my pregnancy, but have a little tact people!

Bearcrumble · 27/04/2012 09:14

I hated being told my bump was small, I used to eye up the enormous women and feel bump envy! Kept thinking the baby wasn't growing as my first had IUGR...

She was on the small side (6lb) but not dangerolsly low birthweight and I comfort myself with the fact I got through 2 pregnancies stretchmark free.

Bearcrumble · 27/04/2012 09:15

(That sounded a bit smug - feel free to fling things at me)

HateBeingCantDoUpMyJeans · 27/04/2012 09:21

No not stalking, it's just that...well....I can see it from here Grin

I remember telling some men at work that I thought our colleague was about the right size for how pregnant she was when I was about 20.

I got blank stares.

Lexilicious · 27/04/2012 09:41

You know those t-shirts with writing over the boobs that says "look up there ^ if you're talking to me" or something similar?

We need a maternity one with writing over the bump that says "please don't feel the need to start a conversation about this"

McPhee · 27/04/2012 09:41

I'm measuring a week ahead in growth....but big babies run in the family Confused

Everyone keeps telling me how big I am and how low I'm carrying.....no shit sherlock Grin
