A self-indulgent moan about morning sickness

I'm 8 weeks pg with DC3 and the morning sickness has kicked in. Actually it is really from about midday that I go steadily downhill until I collapse in bed (which will be shortly after I finish this moan).

I'm struggling on with DC1 and 2 routines, when I want to lie I bed until this phase passes! Which as I recalll from DC2 was about 14 weeks, and I am not sure how I'm going to make it.

Anyone found a miracle cure and/or want to moan with me?

You have my huge sympathies. I'm 11 weeks pregnant with DC3 and still struggling although think I'm reaching the other side. Seriously struggled from week 7 to week 10. Now having good and bad days.

Only things I find help are constantly eating which has resulted in DCs eating lots too and going to bed as early as possible at night.

I've gone from feeling awful 24/7 to feeling awful for a couple of hours in the morning and from about 5pm until I fall asleep... Usually around 9pm!

Hope it eases soon!!!

Thanks ilove. Good to be reminded of the light at the end of the tunnel. Eating def helps and I am doing a LOT of that. At least I have zero desire for sweet stuff, most fruit and carbs.

Convinced DS(3) that mummy needs a nap today and bless him he played on his own for an hour in his bedroom while I slept on sofa. It was painful dragging myself up for the school run though!

Good luck with your DC3.

I'm 17+2 and I can tell you it does get better :)

From 6- 16 weeks I was sick most of the day, whereas now I can actually feel normal from around midday Grin

Things will get better!

I'm 10 weeks, and although it's not gone, it is getting better - I have good days now, whereas two weeks ago all I wanted was to lie on the sofa moaning softly!

So you may not have ages to go.

Oh me too me too i want to join in! am 7 weeks and I'd forgotten how horrible the morning sickness stage is and now i feel an idiot because I have a 14month old to look after (co sleeping and feeding through night will only settle whilst attached to me) I'm exhausted and thinking back to last pregnancy think it eased around 10 weeks which seems an age away and i just want to cry half the day. Was trying not to be a martyr and told DP I would be needing his help as the tieredness was bad enough last time let alone with a baby to run around after aswel, and he seemed to take it on board but to be honest he's made it clear there are more important people in his life than us and so I'm resigned to just getting on with it by muself stuff him.

myself that should be not muself!!
