One of my friends has just found out that she has no amniotic fluid around her baby. She's 23 weeks pg and has been told that it's kidneys aren't functioning properly and it looks as if she will be induced next week. What does this mean, is it a hopeless situation? Help please.

What an awful situation. I know each birth is different, but a good friend of mine gave birth at 24 weeks and her dd is now fine, if a little smaller than her classmates.

Your poor friend
