Come and join us on the Due in July thread as none of us seem to be blooming. We are all helping each other though it.

jam3. I have had a pregnancy like this too. I'm 29 weeks now. Basically you get a weakened immunity when you are pregnant so your body doesn't reject the foreign body that is your darling baby! Also, if you are tired and sick, you get really run down and therefore pick everything up. I haven't bloomed for even one day yet, and know from last time that I won't be, but plenty of people get to 25 weeks and suddenly feel much better. You might find in March (only 2 weeks away) that some of these bugs die off and your immunity picks up. I hope you have a blooming spring! and even if you don't you'll have a wonderful blooming baby in July! Rest a lot, drink tons of fluids (orange juice or Ribena very good for you) and try and do fun things for yourself even if you feel rubbish. Your baby will be fine despite your illnesses in fact my consultant told me last week that the babies of really poorly mothers tend to do better than mothers who have sailed through their pregnancies as they are used to having to take everything from you and are fighters. It'll all be worth it in July - try to keep your eyes on the prize! You are half way there, well done!

Are you taking a supplement for pregnant women? I kknow that I respond very badly to the least anaemia during pregnancy and get very run-down and poorly during the last trimester unless I take iron + multivits. Last time I altertnated iron tablets and Pregnacare, as Pregnacare doesn't contain as much iron as I needed.
