12+3 crampy, achey pains

For the last couple of days I've had a dull ache low down in my tummy (just above my pubic bone) all the way across and at the sides, as well as lower back ache which almost feels like it's in my pelvic bones at the back and is worse when I sit.

I had my scan today and saw a very wriggly baby so am fairly relaxed but it has got worse throughout the day (could have been exacerbated by the ultrasound thingumy being pressed onto me maybe?)

It's not painful but uncomfortable and very noticeable to me as I do other things. Has anyone else felt this? Is it just normal stretching?

Anyone any advice?

I'm 16+4 and have had dull cramps on and off throughout the pregnancy, along with the occasional sharp pain. I'm pretty sure it's just things stretching and growing.

Thanks. It's pretty uncomfortable actually Sad

How long do your cramps last for because this has been pretty constant now for the last few hours?

Hmm. I'd say on and off for a few hours. They'd be like that for a day or two, then stop for a week or more. I thought it might just be growth spurts or something. They felt like period pains. I've had some today actually.

If yours are very painful or they don't let up soon, you might be best to phone your MW.

I got these sort of pains for a day or so at a time and really badly with my first pregnancy. MW said they were growing/stretching pains. They were so bad I sometimes felt faint.

I am now pregnant again- 8+5 and have had some pains but not as bad as last time. Am hoping that's because its already stretched and not because things are not growing!

Thanks ladies. They started to ease off for a bit and then they came back. I'm going to phone the midwife tomorrow to check - hopefully she'll say just growing pains too.
