Wise women of MN please give me guidance on how to rid myself of indegestion?

This is what I'm doing already:

  • eating little often and trying to have 'main meal' at lunch time as it's worse at night time.
  • Avoiding tomatoe based foods at night and sweet drinks
  • keeping the share holders of Gaviscon happy (I.e downing lots of it)

What else can I do/need to avoid? Advice much appreciated as it is spoiling my fun (alongside the vomiting and nausea)

Ta very muchness.

Chew food thoroughly. Can you take Zantac when pregnant? Also avoid fizzy drinks, chocolate, aubergines and very fatty foods. Don't lie down after eating - give it a couple of hours. Raise head of bed a bit with some books.

Hope it gets better soon. I get it lots and it is horrid Sad

If affected at night try sleeping propped up on pillows. Get omeprazole on prescription.

Oh dear just ate my DDs last Easter egg, so will start the 'no chocolate' tomorrow!

Go and see your GP - they can prescribe Zantac or generic equivalent. I have to do this as Gaviscon doesn't touch my heartburn. A Zantac per night an hour before bed plus several pillows keeps it under control.

Ok GP it is, bring on the drugs!

Ice cold apple straight from the fridge.

Worked a dream for me.

Yesterday I thought I was dying with heart burn but my friend at work had some mints that we're amazing, they're from lidl, £1.29 for a pack of 2 tins and 2 mints stopped the pain in a couple of minutes.

I think it was bought on by 1 croissant and 1 pain au chocolate, so trying to eat healthyish now.

I second the omeprazole. I swear they are miracle tablets!
