Cramping starting just below left rib 21 weeks what could this be?

Hi everyone,

I have started to get a sore constant cramping feeling that starts just below my left rib and works its way down my side. Any idea what this could be?
I have just found out today that I am to be made compulsory redundant and have been quite stressed and am now worried I have caused some damage.

I've no idea what this could be, but if its really worrying you then give the out of hours midwife a call?

I'm sure its nothing serious.

Could it be Braxton Hicks? Although maybe not if it's constant. I've suffered a lot with stomach/rib pain (am 35 weeks) but every time I mention it to MW she says it's normal!! Last couple of weeks it's been on my left side, like bad stitch, can last for a couple of hours but does go away eventually. I would ring your MW or hospital if you're worried though, especially if you have any other symptoms or if the pains not going away.
