I would wait. Just in case.

I have just had emergency surgery to remove twisted ovary. Am 14 weeks today. I won't be buying anything until after 20 weeks personally, I don't even feel pregnant just now, just in pain because of the surgery. I will be having to buy some comfy over bump trousers tho as my stomach is so swollen after surgery!
If you want to buy things for your baby, why not? It's how you feel about it that's important. Your chances of delivering a healthy baby at term are excellent, even with the surgery. Good luck!

If you want to buy things, buy them Smile

If we all waited until it was 'safe' no-one would buy anything until the baby was born Wink

Ellangirl i really hope your feeling betta soon. I know how you feel, to add insult to injury in my last pregnancy i had to have emerency surgury to remove my appendix at 18 weeks so i totally understand the pain. My baby was born heathy at 38 weeks.
But this time i know its coming and i know a operation dosnt mean the end. But its allways there in the back of my mind now....at least last time id gone out after that lovley 12 week scan and bought some bits to look at :-(
