I am due 27th Sept... though I have a feeling I'll go over as Mum, sister and Aunt all went over by 2 weeks so I am saying beginning October to those who ask.

No sickness, but hormonal headaches and excruciatingly sore nipples.

2 weeks until 20 week scan - looking forward to knowing that everything is (hopefully) ok.

Have you felt movement yet? I don't think I have...

AnaisAnais · 24/04/2012 14:39

Those threads are always so long!!! I meant to say earlier that you should try taking vitamin B6 for your sickness... I suffer badly with sickness in my pregnancies (well that is until I discovered them). By taking just one a day I found that after a few days the vomiting stopped completely and the nausea very much reduced! If you are like me and have tried every other trick in the book with no luck, give them a go it's worth a try to make things better for you. Is this your first baby?

AnaisAnais · 24/04/2012 15:21

thanks vimnw7 ill have to get some, tbh i got given the healthy start vitamins, inc fish oil n calcuim carbonate but they were making me wretch when i was swallowing them so i gave up.
yeah i have tried absolutely everything even the meds given by drs didnt seem to ease it :s.
yeah its my first so all is very exciting, we werent really trying for a baby but i did want one so im very over the moon
i just want s/he to be hear or at least to see him/her again :D
how many children do you have?

This is baby number 5 for me and it's strange, it feels like having my first all over again as I know its the last one so Im trying to enjoy this pregnancy - Luckily this has been my best one so far (touch wood it stays that way) :)

AnaisAnais · 24/04/2012 15:31

I am due sept 20th, very excited and enjoying feeling baby moving now

funchum8am · 24/04/2012 21:15

hermione I am also due on 20th, DC1 for me and very excited! There are lots of lovely ladies on the Sept thread given below by ladygagoo and it's lovely to hear from other people going through the same stuff.

PollyIndia · 25/04/2012 10:44

AnaisAnais, yes, am massively showing! It all popped out the week before last and now am unmistakeably preggers. In fact, people have been offering me their seat on the tube, so that's a sure sign!
Not finding out the sex. The whole pregnancy was a surprise so am sticking with the theme! I'm not planning to buy much before the baby is born and I am going to decorate the nursery in this quentin blake animal wallpaper that is sex agnostic so don't think I need to find out.
Still not sure if I am feeling anything. Felt some flutters when I was watching the marathon and yelling - maybe the baby was telling me to be quiet!
I hadn't seen the september thread. I'll have a look :)

AnaisAnais · 25/04/2012 16:21

i still havent really popped, but is coming, belly is looking more swollen today so hopefully belly is making an appearance :D. ooo it was a surprise for us too but i need to know what it is haha.
my baby was going crazy yesterday it would stop lol, full trampolining session was happening!
i know ill get carried away with buying stuff but want to have a baby shower so hopefully will get stuff then
wooo DC1s :D

Yes, due Sept 25th, though likely to have baby by C-section the week before.

2nd baby, have a bit of a bump.

Katienana · 25/04/2012 16:44

Due 28th Sept, bump going strong!

DueinSeptember · 25/04/2012 16:50

Can I just ask those with a bump - does it come up under your bust (ish). I'm not sure if it's a bump or I'm just fat. Or perhaps my muscles have given way and following what happened last time.

cotswolds84 · 25/04/2012 17:51

I don't understand that either. I have a bump high up but baby still low down at mo. Due 27th september.

PollyIndia · 25/04/2012 18:48

Bump is quite low but I reckon everyone's bumps will be different. My belly button popped out today - so weird! I finally took out my belly button bar. Had it for 19 years! It's quite strange not being able to play with it anymore.

dancechick · 26/04/2012 12:29

I'm due on 27th Sept too - 18wks today! My belly has ballooned in the last two weeks. Have finally got over the sore nipple stage (thank goodness!). My bump is now starting to swell upwards, though the baby is still tiny and way down. EVERYONE thinks I'm going to have a boy, which is getting a bit tedious.

Was having a feel under the bump yesterday and am pretty certain I could actually feel the baby - that was pretty cool!

Does anyone else have a feeling of unreality about the experience? This is my first and up till now it's just something that's been happening to me with the end far off into the distance and not a lot of good stuff to show for it so far!

AnaisAnais · 26/04/2012 15:24

i do, especially as i dont have much of a bump it feels less real, weird to think that from here were only going to get bigger :S.
i have to say tho i think sept is going to come very quickly, these past few weeks have flown by!!

It feels totally unreal to me dancechick! I am living s very different lifestyle from my normal london lifestyle, ie not drinking and partying but I think as I was away for 2.5 months, I had already broken those patterns anyway, so finding out I was pregnant in India was surreal and coming back has just continued in that vein of everything being a bit different, if that makes sense.
I also don't think I have grasped how much things will change in Sept. Right now, I may not be boozing, but I am still going out most nights, going to yoga if I want or out for a little run. My life is still my own. Come sept, it's going to be completely different. I write the words, but don't think I have really taken that on board. It's probably more of a change for me than most as I am doing it on my own - the dad isn't going to be involved I don't think.
Does anyone else quite like the way their body is changing? The rest of me seems more or less normal (though I MUST have put on weight with the amount I have been eating) but then I've got this bump. I find it quite amazing.

GingerDoodle · 28/04/2012 10:49

Hi Polly

I love my bump - can't wait for it to show more!

Im 17 + 2 and can still reliably be sick if I get over tired or hungry. Now where near the 5 + times a day of MS at its worth tho thank goodness.

We're not finding out either altho many of our friends have stated I am def having either X or Y lol!
