Is labour imminent?

Due date Thursday for DS3 to arrive

Last night got on call MW out (home birth here) as having lots of contactions, more than just Braxton Hicks, but less than full-on birth ones IYSWIM. Contractions irregular but not that irregular.

I really felt that I had bladder discomfort - this was the first sign (unnoticed by me) when DS2 came along, which was a fast labour (90 mins in total).

Went to bed 3.30am, DP took day off just in case. Contractions again today, but no show or other signs. MW said baby is 3 or 4 5ths engaged.

Have been having BH contactions for a couple of weeks now, but this is far more intense now.

How much longer!?!?!? How soon is now!!!

Hard to say for definite but in my humble opinion (I'm a GP, used to work in Obs) it sounds like you're close! Frustratingly, some people can get a bit of a 'false labour' or kind of practice run, which can then stop for a bit before the proper labour starts, which makes it hard to say for sure. But equally your symptoms may well herald the start of labour, particularly as this is ds3 and you're almost at your due date. Keep timing the contractions but also if they aren't becoming more regular and closer together and you still have the bladder discomfort, you might be wise to ask your midwife to do a urine dipstick t rule out a urinary tract infection. DS1 was 11 days late, DS2 4 days late (but this was my estimate from date of sex, rather than date of conception which in this case is supposedly 6 days afterwards .

He was conceived on Friday night after the pub but not conceived until Thursday

I hope he comes before Xmas...!!! He really won't / can't be that long now surely.....!!!!!

Still no movement... lots of BH contractions but not as much as before.

I suppose we ought to enjoy the peace before he lands....!

DS2 asking if baby is coming home yet...
