I'm just looking for some advice please. I am 13 weeks pregnant & antiphospholipid syndrome. I have urine dipsticks at home as dd has a urine problem & thought I'd dip my urine today, it came up with 3+ blood, does anyone know if this is anything to worry about & should I get to the gp or can it wait until thurs when not at work? I have no pain or anything else. Thanks

I don't know about the anti phospholipid syndrome (sorry) but assuming the 3+ refers to protein / blood in the urine? In which case could it be showing that you have a urine infection? If the dip sticks aren't for you, did you have an inkling that you should test or was it pure coincidence? Why don't you call your GP and ask to speak to the nurse. They should be able to tell you whether it's worth popping in... But unless the anti phospholipid syndrome would explain it, I wouldn't ignore it as UTIs can be a pain in pregnancy... If the anti phospholipid thing could actually increase risks in pregnancy, I would definitely not ignore it.hope this helps although it's not very profound, sorry...

Hope everything's fine Titchy Smile

I know I didn't have anything exciting to say but I'm a worrier, I guess, and I'd always give them a call and have my mind put at ease rather than hope-thinking everything's fine but just not being quite sure. That way lies those 3am Internet searches for obscure medical conditions that scare the pants off you, and which you convince yourself that you have even though they've only been found in in a population of Antarctic hares...
