Hi all need a bit of help and assurance, i've had 2 m/c in the last year both at 6 weeks desperately wanting our 2nd child.

I'm pregnant again found out last week, I'm very scared and anxious especially about getting to 7 weeks.

I've had blood work done all weekend as had a bit of pain, atm everything is ok my HCG doubled from Friday being 302 and yesterday was at over 600.
I also had a vaginal scan Friday and there was nothing on it thoughts were it's too early even though i thought i was 6 weeks last AF march 9th.

Having another scan nxt Sun and as i have no idea how pg i am don't really know what to expect? I would love to see the HB as thats what's always been wrong the last two times.

I've looked at graphs acc. to HCG levels which suggest i'm about 5 weeks.

Any thoughts welcome, I'm driving myself crazy!!!

I think it is about 7 weeks, I went for a reassurance scan but wasn't as far along as the dr thought. I was only 5 weeks and they could see an egg sack and that was it. I went back 10 days later and could see heartbeat.

Fingers crossed x

I had a scan several days ago at 5+3 and there was no hb then only a sac. I have another on the 30th when I'll be 7+2....
I've read a lot and apparently the most common time a hb will be heard is between 7-8 weeks.
Fingers crossed for you! Smile

Hi cinderellabelle

I completely understand how you feel, I had 2 mc's last year (4 weeks and 9 weeks). I'm now at 14 weeks and I've been a mess all the way through! I've experienced bleeding since day 1 of this preg so have had a lot of early scans!! 4 weeks I saw nothing, 5 weeks an egg sac, at 7 weeks I saw a heartbeat.

How sure are you of when you ovulated? It's very possible that you may have ovulated later and may be earlier on in the pregnancy than you thought?

I really hope your scan in 10 days goes well and that you see a sac on there!

Had a scan at 6 weeks and there was no heartbeat, had another at 8 weeks and there was one. Now 31 weeks pregnant so all ok.
Good luck with this pregnancy hope it all goes well for you

In both pregnancies I had scans at 5+6 and we saw tiny flicking hb, just like a cursor! I was sure of my dates because I'd had ivf. I really hope you have positive news - once you've seen cardiac contraction your chances of a live birth rocket to around 85%.

Its not so much how many weeks pregnant you are, but how high your hCG is. It is unlikely to see a heartbeat with your current hCG levels, it needs to be 2000+ to confirm a viable intrauterine pregnancy IIRC.

I do know how you feel, the waiting is unbearable. I've been there too following ectopic, miscarriage and chemical pregnancies. Good luck x
