Hi all

Have a wedding on Sat and desperately need my roots doing but can't afford to go to a hairdressers, do any of you know if it's OK and safe to use one of those highlighting kits? And if so, any recommendations, I'm so crap with hair!

Do you have any friends that are hairdressers?

Hey Milk, I have a cousin who does hair but I live quite far away from her and we both work full time.......

Said to DH earlier 'I'm thinking of going brown/red as can't afford this when baby comes along' and he said 'um, nah!'

Have you got a college near by that does beauty etc, they always want models, some hairdressers need models for apprentices to practice colour etc, all fully supervised.

Don't know about the safety of highlight kits but if you have any spare cash I second moregranny. My friend who dyes her hair always gets it done at the nearby college and it looks really good :)
