How much pregnancy related stuff do you post on Facebook? Don't want to be a pregnancy bore so I have only posted twice in 20 weeks.

OP posts:

PickleSarnie · 20/04/2012 20:20

Nothing. Waiting until I can post a baby photo.

confuzed90 · 20/04/2012 20:31

Omg I post so much on it!! Particularly lately as I'm 39+2 and waiting for signs..

Badgerina · 20/04/2012 20:50

Not much. Posted a cryptic announcement, first scan photos, post small moans about the vast buckets of salt and vinegar crisps I seem to be consuming lately.

SilverSky · 20/04/2012 20:56

Nothing. Him Indoors outed us on his status but I've not said anything. Will wait til I have something to tell eg baby has been born

PorkyandBess · 20/04/2012 20:58

Less is more.

BoysBoysBoysAndMe · 20/04/2012 21:11

Not a lot.

The really important people on fb I see or speak to regularly.

They're the only ones who actually care about me and baby. Not old friend from brownies or girl I worked with for four months.

Hmm, going to rethink my friend list........

littlemissnormal · 20/04/2012 21:13

Less is definitely more!!! The initial announcement of the pregnancy, the odd embarrassing thing you've done to amuse people and then the birth announcement!

I cannot bear the constant updates from people about backache, movements, peeing habits and in the past year alone have deleted 3 people who posted a daily countdown to the birth!

(and then once they have the baby the constant sleep, nappy and feeding and jab updates!! Grrrr!!!)

EthelredOnAGoodDay · 20/04/2012 21:16

It's the 100 photos each week of new baby/toddler that do my head in. I do post photos of my DD, but not to the extent some people do... Yes agree, less is more.

VickityBoo · 20/04/2012 21:28

Just the announcement so far, I'm 15 weeks.

bettybat · 20/04/2012 21:33

I'm really prolific Blush But then I always do just chat a lot of shit on FB anyway. I have it like Google + with circles - lists of types of people who geeky stuff, or Nat Geo stuff, Instragram, or just funny chatty stuff or whatever. Really good friends abroad use it to chat to each other, linking each other in. I talk about food a LOT.

But I'm also super strict about my friending - I have under 50 still and have it completely locked down, and plan to keep it that way! So it really does seem like I'm just chatting to friends face to face. Pregnancy stuff has been moaning about clothes, requesting muumuus but I think even I've made an unconscious decision to not go over the top.

I dunno - I figure if people were bored, they'd hide my posts!

friedfrog · 20/04/2012 21:34

I am with little miss here! I have posted once in 31 weeks. I a) don't want to share my private stuff with casual acquaintances and b) don't want to bore people. Some of friends share way too much....I really don't care if they got their first pair of shoes today! Less is def more!

bettybat · 20/04/2012 21:42

Ahhh see I don't have casual acquaintances, at all. My family, DH's family and extended who I just love takes me up to about 35. The rest are lifetime, close friends, or newer friends that I see on a regular basis. I don't think I'd be anywhere near as chatty if I had casuals on my list.

twizzlestix · 20/04/2012 23:03

Just announcement and gender so far...am sure there'll be more as my friends on Facebook are actually that in real life :) and I'm VERY excited to have a BFP at last Grin I seem to in the minority as I don't mind reading posts about my friend's children etc

RubyrooUK · 20/04/2012 23:15

I posted nothing on FB when pregnant until the baby was born (stuck up the obligatory photo then).

People do share lots of details on FB about their pregnancies, but it is there for people to communicate about their lives so that's pretty normal I guess. But having had miscarriages before, I am really aware that I don't want to have to share sad and very personal news with my Facebook friends (some of whom are not my best friends). So I've steered clear and would do so again.

Babyno3tobe · 21/04/2012 01:40

I could possibly be the worst culprit lol I did a pic of my bump every 2wks (that was more for me to compare bumps from my last pregnancy) and moan! I am queen of moaning but not this time going to hold off and let the "my pregnancy this wk" take over for me but I do have to update how I am for my family or I'll have my mum asking where I am lol (we tend to use fb as a communicator rather than a phone cause I never have signal) but most def less is more hopefully this time I don't suffer as bad as my last with SPD god iv already started lol

landphil · 21/04/2012 01:50

none

Msfickle · 21/04/2012 05:53

Zilch. I try not to be a Facebook irritant as get quite bored of some people on fb.

Not sure how I feel about putting up pics when baby is born either. There's something a bit creepy to me about pictures of my baby being on the www for all to see. However tight your security settings are I'm pretty sure that somehow perves and nutters will be able to access?!

McKayz · 21/04/2012 06:00

I put quite a lot on. Im excited about being pregnant so I want to talk about it.

Plus DH works away so it's a good way for him to see how I'm feeling and see scan pictures.

Alligatorpie · 21/04/2012 06:43

Once, I am 32 weeks

AnEcumenicalMatter · 21/04/2012 06:49

None. Baby is due in 8 weeks and I'll do the birth announcement & obligatory photo then.

MillyStar · 21/04/2012 07:17

Initial announcement and announcement that It's a girl

Couple of bump pics and moans lately becuase I'm 9days late now

No scan pics tho and pics of bubba won't be going on, something strange about having your kiddy on the Internet I think, just doesnt sit right with me

FuckerSnailInYourHedgerow · 21/04/2012 07:39

None. Will announce the birth and that is all. One of my friends has a weekly app that describes the symptoms she is having and how her baby is developing. It's very American as sickening. Something like:

My lil ol bean is 17cm and pressing on my bladder! Which means mom is using the bathroom a lot!

It's a lot longer and more informative than that but I've blocked most of it out tbh.

PurplePidjin · 21/04/2012 08:06

Snail, I deleted/hid several people who did that - from 4wks pg Shock

MrsPaynie · 21/04/2012 08:33

I love hearing my friends updates about their pregnancies as children, especially if I don't see them often. I live in a different country to most of my friends so Facebook is one of our only ways of communication. I don't have ransoms on my friends list, or people I once knew many moons ago, my friends are exactly that, friends, so I will update and let them know how things are going, but not every little detail about morning sickness and needing to pee a lot lol x

MrsPaynie · 21/04/2012 08:33

*and children not as
